Summer’s nearly over but that doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy a summery palette of fresh colors year-round, especially if you happen to have a charming cottage-style dining room like this, by interior designer RaeLynn Callaway.

Sunlight coming in through French doors plays up bright white accents, while soft greens and blues invoke images of blue skies, green grass and warm, sunny mornings. The overall effect is simple, understated and just plain cozy.

A leisurely Saturday morning breakfast is certainly the order of the day, but the roomy central table would just as easily accommodate a larger group of friends visiting for a Friday-night dinner. Really, what more could you ask for in a dining room?
