At Home Hits the Runway 11.19.09

Posted on 19 November 2009

Okay, I’m admittedly one of those people who, when it comes to home decor, absolutely loves the color white. (Remember this color personality test? My result was “White Spaces.”) To me, it creates a great canvas, allowing other elements in a room to pop. So, I of course have a huge crush on Ray and Carrie Bell’s monochromatic master bedroom, which was featured in our August 2009 issue, designed by Kevin Walsh of Bear-Hill Interiors and photographed by Nancy Nolan. The color palette is clean and fresh, so the vivid Stuart Holcomb painting can take center stage. And the lucite chair, in a traditional shape no less, is a hip addition to the space. Kind of like this look from the BCBG runway, the master bedroom’s playful mix of neutrals and brights makes it all the more interesting.
