Room of the Week 11.10.09

With the holidays coming up, I’ve been admiring this white-on-white kitchen. With the pair of sinks and all that open workspace, even dressing a turkey wouldn’t seem like a chore (it’s not my favorite part of making Thanksgiving dinner…I’m more of a pie person). Plus there are the views, either out the windows or to the beautifully appointed rooms that adjoin it.

Like this sitting area, where you could find me enjoying a glass of wine while sitting by the fire and waiting for the pies to finish baking.

Or the adjacent family room, where we could all gather after dinner and nap on each other’s shoulders until we wake up and have that second slice of pie.

That’s what we’ve heard the owners of this Little Rock house, designed by Kevin Walsh of Bear-Hill Interiors, have in mind. I’ll be thinking of them as I have my second piece of pie as well. Ah, the holidays.
