decorate with urns both inside and out…
Posted on 22 February 2012
Today, urns have a turn in the spotlight! The Sisters, Mona and Talena of Providence Ltd. Interior Design, show you how to bring in the outdoors with an incredibly beautiful (almost romantic) roundup of urns… for the mantle, as a centerpiece, you name it. Such a wonderful way to add character to your home, and to give an old urn new life too. Read on!
Urns are not just for the garden.
We love them inside and out, and if they are a bit chipped and showing signs of age…even better.

It’s time to start thinking outside the box and shopping off the beaten path. Visit garden centers, flea markets and antique malls and mix it up. Bring the outside in…
Until next time…

I love urns, particularly when they are a bit weathered and worn. Beautiful images once again. x Sharon
Mona-
These urns are gorgeous. I love them inside also.
You have motivated me to get ready for spring.
Have a nice day, and I will be thinking of your family and father.

Enjoy your Thursday!

I love how you’ve shown so many different ways to use these beautiful urns inside as well as outside. I tend to favor boxwoods in urns and you’ve encouraged me to expand my ideas. The pretty yellow spring bulbs bursting with color are a perfect example. I’m also going to keep my eye out for an antique silver urn for my kitchen counter. I can see green apples piled high in it already. Thank you both for the inspiration.

LOVE this post!! I love urns, and could have them in every room…what a beautiful post dedicated to urns and all their many uses. I hope your dad is comfortable and doing well today. Wonderful post from fabulous tastemakers!
MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM urns……………from bird baths to coveting your favorite plant….and the one with the magazines in it…..gets my vote…..how divine is that?? Have a wonderful day…….my head is swimming with decorating, isnt it just the most fun??!!!!!!
As my new patio is finally complete and I am contemplating how to “decorate” the outside, this is a perfect post to read! And, now, I’m thinking of ways to use urns inside, too. I agree…the more worn the better!!

Wow…love every single urn….I definitely have the “I wants” great post as always!!!
Actually…I’m looking for some fabulous old crusty urns myself. I’m in love with them.
Beautiful post. So many wonderful images of urns. Great ideas on how to use them inside and out.
You can be sure I will be on the lookout for urns this spring. I do have a couple…however now that you have given me so many more ideas; the creativity begins!

I don’t know what it is about urns, but the shape is very appealing. I like anything footed, actually; compotes, soup tureens, etc. These examples are beautiful.
Best…Victoria
I adore all of these urns, especially the one with the minature yellow bulbs. Does anyone know what they are called? I also love to see moss planted in urns. I hope your father is doing well at this time. Our mother was diagnosed in October with the same issue. She is on meds that regulate her heart and is doing good at this time. We give her what she wants to eat within reason, because at 90 she has earned the right to be comfortable and enjoy her remaining years with us. I wish the best for your father and family. We love your blog.
Judy
Thanks so much Judy for your words of encouragement for our Dad.. And we also appreciate your following our blog. We try to have a lot of fun with it.
Love the big urn used for magazines and books. Now that’s a great idea I may have to copy in my home!
